The Iuliu Hațieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj-Napoca is the oldest medical school in Transylvania, continuing the Faculty of Medicine founded in 1919. Every year thousands of students from Romania and abroad attend its courses, taught by more than 1,000 professors and researchers.
